Weekend Warrior Memoirs

Fuel the Fire

We all admire and respect elite athletes who tackle the biggest challenges and the most epic adventures and are showcased in well-produced features. Many of us, however, tackle smaller adventures that bring us just as much joy and happiness. We work, grind, follow the daily routine, and then escape for the weekend, or just a day, to pursue our hobbies and our passions. Sometimes, if we are lucky, we take a week off and do something a little bit bigger.

It may be climbing, trail running, riding your bike, or section by section hiking the AT. You might hop on a train, or rent a car. It may very well be doing something for the very first time and pushing well past the line which defines your comfort zone. Perhaps it’s your first marathon. You may consider yourself a badass now that you did it - and rightly so.

You talked to your friends, found inspiration, and decided to go for it. You, and many like you, are pursuing the weekend warrior status; fitting as much outdoor fun as you can during your free time so you can continue finding that stoke.

The second best thing after taking on these adventures is the story telling that comes after the fact. You sit by the campfire and share your tales and listen to others share theirs. And just then, you have an idea for your next adventure.

Enter the Weekend Warrior Memoirs. Share your story or mini epics, tell us what you did, where you did it, who was with you, what went well and what didn’t. Maybe it was an epic success or maybe even an epic fail - but you learned something new nevertheless, and perhaps made some friends along the way. Share your insights, hesitations, and most importantly, your adventure. think of it as a virtual campfire storytelling medium. This is your canvas.

The goal - help others just like you who are searching for that quick getaway, to give them a little extra inspiration for their next weekend warrior adventure.
